Tracmor recommended POS

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a POS system that is "compatible" with Tracmor.  Currently there is a MS-DOS based system in place.  The reason I'm looking to upgrade is I that I want to incorporate the inventory system into a website that can be used by customers and potential customers to be able to order and view stock status.  IE 3-4 Day Order, Low Stock and In Stock.

My question is:
What POS systems have people used with Tracmor or which POS system would you recommend?  Open source is preferable.

So far I've looked into Openbravo with some skepticism.

I'm very happy with my ability to incorporate Tracmor's inventory system into a custom website for customers to use for shopping.  I would prefer to stick with Tracmor as I don't think I could have asked for anything else in a customizable inventory system.
