Assign Inventory to Users

It would be really nice if there was a way to assign inventory and assets to users. Supplies like ink cartridges are kept on hand in the IT department and when a someone requests it, it is billed to that department and assigned to the requestor. So when we move the inventory to a different location, it would be really helpful to be able to assign it to a different user.
