Topic: A way to add transactions and a few other questions

Hey! New to tracmor, love it.

We are a small company that refurbishes and resells machines, right now the assest option is working great. However I do have one question. We do a service on these machines as they come into our shop regularly and we would love to have a way to add transactions with an item.

Example:

-Service Tech A works on machine and replaces "clutch" he signs in, enters what he did and it logs it with date/time

-Service Tech B comes to work on machine 1 month later and can see Tech A's transaction of working on machine, so he replaces the part and gets the machine running again. Logs it.

-Sales man/manager opens it up and can see a history of who and when of what happen to machine while it has been in our control.

Possibility or way I can figure out a way to program this into it?

Some other things I am looking at ASSET wise:
-A todo or checklist of things to be done?
-Also is there a way to ALWAYS show attachments and not hide them. They kind of are lost on the page in our opinion and are often over looked.
-What about a way of embedding a main photo that is always visible as well?
-A way to import inventory (not assets)

Any help would be heaps, I would really like to use this in our company, if there are things I need to customize I am comfortable with such, I just want to know where the customizations are possible, easy/hard or are on someone elses table.

Great product

Re: A way to add transactions and a few other questions

Great questions. Currently there is no easy way to add custom transactions to Tracmor without actually writing code to add such features. We also have developer partners that do custom Tracmor development, so please contact us via tracmor.com (or email me at jsinclair at the same domain) if that is something you'd like to explore.

I'd also like to put you in touch with one of our customers that also uses Tracmor in a company that refurbishes and resells equipment (in this case, medical equipment). They may have some insights that they could share in using Tracmor in such an environment.

Also, we recently conducted a New Features Survey, and perhaps some of your needs will be addressed in the future by some of these features.
