Topic: Using postgres with tracmor

Im attempting to use this in house at work.. We currently have the software on a demo box and its set up to use mysql. However, The company is a postgres house and has backup routines in place for that. IN an attempt to keep things in a uniform manor I was asked to find out if this works well with postgres.

Has anyone used postgres? any feed back would be of great value.. Thank you in advance .

Anyone got thoughts on this..

Re: Using postgres with tracmor

Hi Shawn,

tracmor currently only works with MySQL. This is mainly due to our limited development resources. From the beginning we have intended to add support for additional databases in the future. In fact, we developed and contributed the PostgreSQL database adapter to the Qcodo framework (which tracmor is built with), so that this support can eventually be added to tracmor.

Because Tracmor is open source software, you do have the option to add PostgreSQL support yourself if you like. If you do not have any software developers in house, I can recommend programmers that we contract with. Let me know if you are interested.
