Feature Request: Effective Date

I would like to see an "effective date" for the different move operations in addition to the "date created" field.

We don't have the organisation to enter our stock movements in real-time, but instead would like to enter in batch-mode (weekend for the week passed). In such a case, the effective stock movement / shipping would be different from now().

The different views should then work on effective date, obviously. As effective date could default to now() on creation, this would change nothing for people working in real-time.

In the interim, I have added a custom field, and would like to see field-type Date as option for custom fields.
