Topic: Reserve assets dates

It would be a useful feature for me to be able to reserve assets for a future date. I know the philosophy is to reserve a unit for possible shipping, but in my situation, assets will be used by other departments from time to time, and it would be useful to reserve them for a block of time, so the use of assets could be scheduled on a calendar. For example: A laptop and projector could be reserved for a presentation that is off site next week. We would be able to see that those pieces of equipment are scheduled to be used off site, and would not plan to use them the same day.

What a great piece of software..
Having the ability to reserve items for future dates would be great.
Any movement on this?

This was one of the features in our survey we conducted recently. You can see the results here. It was not one of the higher ranking feature requests, so it may not get done as soon as some of the others, but it will get added eventually.

To echo Benja.rb, great bit of software...

... but the future reserve date is a real clincher for me (/our institution) too.
Actually, it's the only stumbling block, which is a real shame.

Who do we have to coerce/bribe/beg to get it bumped up the development list?
