Any idea when barcode support will be in a release version?

hamish here. not a developer, just a partner, i'm afraid! when you say barcode support, do you mean the ability to scan & enter barcodes? we have another small business down in OS, ca & we use tracmor with pre-printed barcodes on all our assets. we use both a PDT with scanning capability as well as just a laser scanner (WASP) hooked up to the shipping PC. don't know, if that helps?

Hi Hamish,
When I was referring to barcode support, I meant the ability for the Tracmor to attach a barcode attribute to each asset. Then, a screen that would allow a user to scan a barcode and have the asset profile page appear for the given asset.
Thoughts?

To clarify for others who may be wondering:
The 'Asset Code' in Tracmor is the bar code attribute which amcnamar was asking about. To find a particular asset by scanning its bar code, you can simply scan the bar code into the 'Asset Code' search field in the Assets module, and the asset with that code will appear in the results.
