The process stall after importing the Location.

It is a new installation of tracmor.

The server have the following versions:

PHP 5.2.11
Mysql 5.027

I go to Admin --> Custom Fields and create a new custom field.  Then before saving, I check enabled and save without "required" checked.  Even though I don't select "required", the custom field is still marked as "required".  Nothing I do can change this.  Even if I edit the custom field and uncheck the "required" selection, the box still remains checked (or rechecks) after I save.

I checked in the database and found that the table "Custom_Field" has a "1" in the "active_flag" column and "0" in the "required_flag" column.  Despite this being correct in the database, the application still treats the custom field as both required and active.

Platform: Mac OSX 10.4.11
PHP: 5.3.2
MySQL: 5.1.44-log
WebServer: Apache 2.0.63

I've been following it for the past year and am very excited about this release.  The big feature I've been waiting for is the import tool.  I've seen the tutorial, however it does not appear to be in my installation.

At first I tried upgrading my sandbox from 0.1.0 to 0.2.0 but it wasn't there.  So I blew it away and did a clean install.  Unfortunately, it's still not listed under the Admin Module.

Fedora 7, PHP 5.2.6, MySQL 5.0.37, Qcodo 0.3.32

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

When i execute

mysql test -uroot -p < ./db_update-0.3.0.sql

I get the following error message:

ERROR 1005 (HY000) at line 49: Can't create table 'test.#sql-536_54b' (errno: 150)

The rest of the steps are OK, but when logging in I get this error message:

This is only happening for asset. Other things such as inventory / admin / reports seems to be working OK.

• Asset archiving

• Asset Import (video tutorial)

• Support for FedEx thermal label printing

NOTE: If upgrading from 0.2.0, see the upgrade instructions.

(If upgrading from 0.1.0, first upgrade to 0.2.0 before upgrading to 0.3.0.)

NOTE: This upgrade process should be considered EXPERIMENTAL.  Make a backup of your current tracmor directory before proceeding. Also, don't forget to make a backup of your tracmor database. Use the tool mysqldump, or a tool like MySQL Administrator or phpMyAdmin.

1. Extract the tracmor-0.3.0 directory to the location of your original tracmor installation, and rename it to whatever your original tracmor directory was named (essentially replacing your old tracmor directory with the new one).

2. Copy your original configuration.inc.php file to your new tracmor/includes directory.

3. Execute data_model/db_update-0.3.0.sql on your tracmor database.

4. In your web browser,  navigate to http://your_tracmor/admin/custom_field_helper_migration.php (replacing "your_tracmor" with the url of you tracmor installation). Then copy the SQL code that is output,  and execute it on your tracmor database (there may be no SQL output if you do not have any address custom fields.)

5. Finally, navigate to http://your_tracmor/admin/asset_archive_update.php in your browser to update your location table to support asset archiving.

After performing the above steps, you should be able to log in and use your tracmor installation as normal.  If you experience any problems with this upgrade process,  please post in this forum so we can help troubleshoot.

I am trying to create a single asset and I am wondering why the Category, Manufacturer, and Asset Model Code are not selectable on the create asset screen?  Is there a way to make them selectable?

Edit:  Also, why is an asset model required in this situation?  It should be optional as there are many occasions where you may only have 1 of something and shouldn't have to create a model for it.

we currently have TRACMOR on our internal network on a windows box running XAMPP.

But i want to move it to our external website so we can access it whenever and wherever we want.  I've copied the Mysql into a new database and this is fine, also changed the configuration.php.

A problem i have is that my hosting company has php error warnings turned off so at the minute i have a white screen but no clue as to why.  Here is the bits of my configuration file that might be useful for all you like minded geeks (including myself).

I have 3 questions.
Is it possible to make a small widget or Application that is linked to the data-base specifically for creating assets and taking assets out? How would I go about creating the application?

Last question I would like to search for what assets were added on a specific day. Is this possible because it would help for matching items with the packing slip otherwise I have to input something manually.
