Bugs on asset import

when i import from csv file...it run until pop up AJAX error and will show "Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10055)"

anyone experience this problem? is there is limitation for number of records? in my csv file contain 5k++ records. even i re-install wampp, the problem still occurs. I notice it will import until 2588 records before the error pop-up.

im using wampp 2.0 on window 7.

Is Tracmor still under development?

Inventory Search - Quantity by Location

Hello,

I'm testing TRACMOR but when I receive or move an inventory to diffrent location the "Quantity" don't filter by location.

If I have 8 inventory in total and move four of them to a diferent location and see the inventory properties, then list correctly the Quantity per location (four in location A and four in location B), but in the Inventory search I select any location shows me the total (8) in each location, don't four.

I would greatly appreciate your help.

Im not understanding how the run the sql scripts to populate the database. Do I need to run all of them in order or just the first/most recent?

Also it seems that the gethub repository is missing some dependances. Is that true or am I just missing something?

Advanced Search -> Custom Field

I am trying to create a report based on a search by custom field. This is already possible in the Asset Advanced Search screen where you could fill in a custom field value and execute a query. Your results would be displayed in the search results data grid. I want to do the same thing in a report.

It appears like the search is called in QAssetSearchComposite.class.php with:

Based on that, I'm guessing that if I sent:

with the other variables being null, and the $arrCustomFields containing the properly composed search data, I should get back the results I'm after.

Does this sound right?

If so, I'm having a really hard time figuring out the structure of $arrCustomFields. Everything I've done to try to cheat and see the makeup of this array is failing. var_dump() runs PHP out of memory and array_search() is not giving me anything useful.

Can anyone help out with the structure of $arrCustomFields or otherwise point me in the right direction?

Super Install instructions for dummies (godaddy)

I would like to start off by saying sorry for any numbering, spelling and punctuation errors that I might have done. I have not fully proof read this and I will do later I ran out of time.

I had some trouble trying to figure out how to install on godaddy. Here is what I did (it should only take about 4-5 minutes of those, 2-3 are just waiting) to get this up and running if you follow these steps.

Note: I am using godaddy 4GH hosting some steps might vary in your application!

Step 1: Download 0.3.0 Tracmor files to your computer and unzip them.

Step 2: Upload the files to either your root directory or create a folder called “whateveryouwanttocallit” note: this is going to be how you access Tracmor once installed. i.e. I could name the folder inventory, thus to access once setup would be: http://www.mydomain.com/inventory.

If you already know how to do this skip to step 3, if not keep reading.

Step 2a: My recommendation is to use a 3rd party file transfer program like filezilla (what I use and will use for these instructions)from Firefox). You could use godaddy, however, it only lets you download one file at a time and 1,600ish files are a lot of clicking VS just one click with filezilla.

Step 2b.If you don’t already have it downloaded, download it and install it on your computer, this will save you a lot of time in the long run!

Step 2c: Log into your godaddy account and get to your hosting control panel home screen

Step 2d: Open filezilla

Step 2e: Input the information from your Godaddy hosting control panel into your Filezilla:

This is the information you will need from godaddy to run your filezilla

Host name = dedicated IP address
Username = your username (not customer number)
Password = your password
Port = 21

Step 2f: Locate the Tracmor file you unzipped (in step 1) in the bottom left screen of files

Step 2g: If you want it in your root just transfer the files to the highest level folder on the right screen of files. If not then go to the right set of folders and right click and create new folder (this will be a subfolder to access your Tracmor in refer to step 2).

Step 2h: Go to the file folders on the left of the screen and open the main Tracmor file folder and select all the files (hold Ctrl and click on all of them individually, DO NOT OPEN EVERY SINGLE FOLDER AND COPY ALL THE FILES THAT WAY, CLICK ON THE HIGHEST LEVEL, i.e. I downloaded trackmor.0.3.0.zip, unzipped it and the zip folder was named trackmor.0.3.0, you just open that folder and copy those files) and drag them to the other folder you just created in your FTP (folders in the right screen).

Step 2i: Wait for all the files to transfer.

Step 3: Creating your data base

Go to the hosting control panel on the top click the database tab and select mysql

you should see this screen:

click the create database and fill out the information (what ever you want it to be, write down the username and password because you will need this for later)

Step 4: Running sql scripts:

Go back to the hosting control panel on the top click the database tab and select mysql

you should see this screen:

Step 4a. Click on the manage via myphpadmin in the row next to the database you created (same location as previous step) and login using the database username and password you creaded in step 3

follow what it says in the box to finish running the sql scripts. The files are located under: yourfolderyouinstalledin > tracmor > data_model

Step 5:

Go back to the Godaddy hosting control panel, and click the big FTP* File Manager button on the top left.

Step 5a: Open file you just crated > Open folder named “includes” > Check the box next to configuration.inc.php > scroll to the top and click edit!

Step 5b: Once you have it open you need to configure it: will see this DO NOT USE THIS FOLDER JUST LOOK AT THE SCRIPT NOTES I PUT IN HERE! IF YOU WILL ONLY SEE THE SCRIPTS THAT YOU NEED TO EDIT HERE SO YOUR FILE WILL LOOK DIFFERENT. ALSO, IF YOU DON'T SEE IT HERE DO NOT TOUCH IT UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!

Step 5b1:

Click on the pencil icon next to the data base you created and you should get a pop up window with your information:

So in your config file this is what equals what compaired to your godaddy account.

Username = Username for your database not customer number
Password = Password for your database not godaddy.com
Profiling = leave it how it is

Step 6: Save config file

Step 7: go to http://www.yourdomain.com/yourfolder

Changed Portable Menu Look

Hello,

I didn't like how the inventory menu looked in the portable menu (http://www.yourdomain.com/portable). I tweeked it to all be on the main menu (I didn't want to have submenus here, at least not now).

It puts all of the assets menus and inventory menus on the home screen. So it goes from this:

Error in CustomFieldSelection.class.php Upgrading to 0.3.0

I'm trying to walk a 0.1.0 installation with roughly 9 asset custom fields up to 0.3.0 code. I have both 0.2.0 and 0.3.0 on my server.

I started off by running db_update-0.2.0.sql (version 0.2.0 code), and then calling the custom_field_helper_migration.php. That produced about 4k lines of SQL statements. I copied all of them into a text file and ran them against the database.

Next, I ran db_update-0.3.0.sql and then called that version's custom_field_helper_migration.php. That produced no output. Finally I ran the 0.3.0 asset_archive_update.php which brought me to the login screen.

Upon login everything seems fine, but if I try to add an asset or even view an asset I get the following:

The odd part is I can login with 0.2.0 and add and view assets just fine. 0.3.0 fails with this though. Any help would be appreciated...

How do you disable magic_quotes_gpc and magic_quotes_runtime

Okay I figured out how to disable the magic quotes and this is what I did

(WARNING: magic_quotes_gpc and magic_quotes_runtime need to be disabled.)

Note: I'm using shared hosting (Godaddy 4GH).

First, I found that Tracmor is set to flag these at the log-in screen. You can see the flag code in the login.tpl.php file around line 121.

Option 1: Delete the warning lines in the login.tl.php file if you want to leave them enabled and not get the error on the log-in screen.

Option 2: (what I did):

Step 1: (there different ways, if one dosen't work; revert what you did and try the next one.

Setp 1 Option 1 (what I did): Create a new filed and name it (you might have to name it after you create it) php5.ini in your root directory (highest level file, it dosen't matter if your tracmor install is in the root directory or sub-directory this file has to do with your server settings not your tracmor settings)

Setp 1 Option 2: Rename the orginal php.ini to php5.ini

Setp 1 Option 3: If you don't have a ini.php create one in your root directory

Step 2. Add the following code to the file

magic_quotes_gpc = Off
magic_quotes_runtime = Off
magic_quotes_sybase = Off

Step 3.

Save file and go to your log-in screen and see if the warning message went away.

Note: to change your PHP version from php4 to php5, here is what goddady says:

Modifying the Asset Transaction Report - Including a Custom Field

I am trying to add the value of a custom field into the report header area of the Asset Transaction Report.xml file. The end result being that the value of a particular custom field for a given asset_id will be part of the report's title.

I see in asset_transaction_report.php where the custom fields and their values are loaded:

All of that makes sense and I see what I believe is the enabling code that allows a variable to be passed to the XML; for example in the case of TotalTransactions:

Even by copying all of that though, I can't seem to call out the custom field value elsewhere within the XML. The best I got was the title of the custom field, but not its value. I was using $this->chkCustomFieldArray[5]->ActionParameter at that time.

Any thoughts/suggestions? Perhaps a different var instead of $this->chkCustomFieldArray[5]->ActionParameter?

Generating barcode problem
