Important notice to FedEx users

On May 31, 2012, FedEx will be retiring the FedEx Ship Manager Direct API. This is the API that Tracmor uses to provide direct integration with FedEx for scheduling shipments and generating FedEx shipping labels. FedEx has provided a migration path to their new FedEx Web Services API, but due to the extensive amount of development effort this would involve, and lack of customer interest, Tracmor will not be updated to support this new API.

What this means is that after May 31, 2012, Tracmor users will no longer be able to generate shipping labels for FedEx from Tracmor, and will be required to use the FedEx website or a 3rd party shipping solution to generate these labels. Users will still be able to record FedEx shipments in Tracmor the same way they currently do for other couriers (e.g. UPS and USPS) by creating a "FedEx" courier in the Shipping/Receiving screen in the Admin module, or by choosing 'Other' for the courier when scheduling a shipment. FedEx tracking numbers entered in a shipment will also continue to link to FedEx for tracking of shipments as they do now.

If a 3rd party solution doesn't work for you, and you are interested in funding the development of Tracmor integration with the new FedEx Web Services API, please contact us. If there is enough demand along with financial support, we would be more than willing to add this functionality in order to retain FedEx integration in Tracmor.

Tracmor 0.3.0

We are pleased to announce that a new release of Tracmor, version 0.3.0, is now available for download. Highlights from this release are:

Asset archiving
Asset Import (video tutorial)
Support for FedEx thermal label printing

Additionally, many bug fixes and performance improvements were added since the last release. Enjoy!

tracmor version 0.2.0 released

We are excited to announce the release of tracmor 0.2.0!

This new release contains some great new features, including:

Parent-child relationships
Asset and Inventory lookup tools
Bar code label printing
Transaction authorization control
Custom field performance improvements

Also included are a cornucopia of bug fixes, including many reported by you in the open source community. Thanks for your continued support, and we look forward to your feedback on this new release.

You may have noticed the Tracmor forums look a bit different. This is because we have upgraded to the latest version of PunBB. This upgrade has brought some nice new features, and we hope that you find it a more pleasant experience reading and posting here in the forums.

After receiving feedback that TracMor.com did not provide "a compelling reason to buy now" we revisted the website and agreed that the feedback was indeed accurate. So, one long redesign later, we debut the "more compelling" TracMor.com :-)

the adventure begins! courting the customers & courting those first open source adopters...? launching the www.tracmor.com website is the result of a 36 month gestation. months of deep breath's, months of sighs and the occasional untroubled night of sleep. we have bought our google key words, set-up the live support & finished patting each other, gently, on the backs. your feedback is appreciated. we have thick skin. we know we have much to learn & we look forward with anticipation to all those comments, good & bad that will continue to inspire vigorous internal debate. thank you.
